This UAV was based on natures design of a Maple seed. The controls for flying it is much simpler than on a plane or helicopter, but its not very intuitive at first try.
It rotates in circles - small circles to turn, and large circles of infinite radius to go straight.

This is the wheel that they used for the Spirit and Opportunity Mars Rovers currently running about on . . . Mars.
It's really light, and machined from a solid block of aluminum using a 3D CNC mill.

This is the Uno motorcycle, which works on the same basic principles as the Segway. This was the first prototype which was mostly built by a 17 year old, if I remember right.

They used liquid nitrogen to super cool a conductor inside the mouse and the car. The tracks were made out of magnets, causing the super cooled conductor to levitate. As it heated up, the levitation would stop.

NAMO was built as a mascot robot for The Institute of FIeld roBOtics at KMUTT in Thailand. It sports a three-wheel omni-directional wheel system, two arms, and a Blackfin camera vision system.
